LightHouse provides new or readmitted students Internet access to online information. A new student, for the purpose of using LightHouse, is defined as a person who has completed an application for admission to the University of West Florida. The creation and use of a PIN and your Social Security Number are required to gain access to the LightHouse system.

You can access Lighthouse at: http://lighthouse.uwf.edu

To log in, enter your UWF ID. If you have never logged into LightHouse before, enter your birth month and date (4 digits) as your PIN (mmdd).

If you don't know your UWF ID, click on the alternative login method; this will ask for your last name, your birthdate, and the last 4 of your SSN.

Example: if your birthday is February 6, enter 0206 as your PIN -- you must use leading zeroes.

You will then be asked to create a new PIN to establish your account.

Information available through LightHouse includes:

General Information

• View and change your mailing address
• View any holds placed on your records
• View and change your e-mail address
• Restrict all or a portion of your Student Directory Information (see "Privacy")

Enrollment Information

• View your admission status
• View grades from previous enrollment periods
• Register for courses
• View your class schedule
• View your academic information
• View your degree audit (requirements)

Financial Information

• Check your fee account balance and due date of fees
• Pay fees with credit card
• Check your financial aid status and view the amount and type of award.

Security

To protect personal information, users should exit the LightHouse system by clicking the "Log Out" icon at the top of the page.

Twenty-four hours after your first courseregistration, students should log on to ARGUS and Activate their Argus account by:

1. Select Argus from Quicklinks on the UWF home page.
2. Click new user in “How does a new user obtain an ArgoNet Account username and password?”
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

ARGUS will serve as your internet access to online information throughout your educational career at UWF.
