ARGONET account: Your ArgoNet account provides access to most of the online services available at UWF. Please review the “New to UWF” ArgoNet information to familiarize yourself with all the technology that is available to you. Then, one business day after you have registered for a course, you will be able to login to ARGUS and activate your ARGONET account.
To activate your ARGONET account, click on the “new user” link located beneath the Argus Secure Access Login box on the left side of the ARGUS login page. You will need to agree to the Computing Resources Usage Agreement and the Student Communication Policy, and then select your password reset option (security question). A system generated ARGONET password will be provided for you. Be sure to write it down. Wait 15 minutes for your password to become effective. You can later create your own password at any time after your first successful login to ARGUS.
Note: Your ARGONET account will automatically be deleted after two semesters of non-enrollment. And, although you have an ARGONET account, you can always access your information via Lighthouse. This becomes particularly important for students who are either alums or not currently enrolled.
ARGUS: In Greek mythology, Argus was a hundred-eyed monster. Argus was also the name of the builder of the Argo, the ship sailed by Jason and the Argonauts. In the version of the story recorded by Apollonius, Argus and his brothers joined the Argonauts on their voyage.
